Sutton in Ashfield Rambling Club
On Sunday (18 October 2009) the members of the popular Sutton Rambling Club will be exploring rural South East Derbyshire around the Belper area. This will be a steady local walk which will cover several local villages.
The walk will start off the A610 near Lower Hartshay (grid ref 389516) to the north east of Belper. We then head back towards Belper for lunch taking in various villages including Heage. There will be ample opportunity to enjoy lunchtime refreshments in Belper.
In the afternoon the route moves south of Belper and will include Wildesley, Makeney, Milford, Chevin, Blackbrook and Belper Lane End. The walk then returns to Belper via Wyver Farm and the coach will leave from Belper Mills (grid ref 34747,9) between 6 and 6.30 pm.
As always new members are most welcome . There is no need to prebook your seat on the coach.
The McEwens coach leaves the "Staff of Life "pub on Hack Lane in Sutton-in-Ashfield at 9.15am and the Bancroft Lane end,Stockwell Gate (near the Netto supermarket) in Mansfield at 9.30 am.There are other pick-up points en route.
